is a New York City-based artist whose music blends emotionally grounded songwriting with signature guitar work and an evocative voice. His career started in Nashville, where he cut his teeth as a touring and session guitarist with artists like Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves, Sam Outlaw, Ross Cooper, and many others—developing a reputation for tasteful playing and musical sensitivity that now infuses his own work.

 

Rooted in indie-folk traditions but unafraid to push boundaries, Dunton’s 2024 self-titled debut album is rich with Americana textures marked by a calm confidence reminiscent of Fleet Foxes, Radiohead, and Gregory Alan Isakov.

 

His new project Talk Radio, is a creative partnership with Jack Sloan through which Dunton explores a more sonically adventurous side of his artistry. Dunton is actively releasing music and playing shows throughout 2025 as Talk Radio and M. Dunton.
